This free, two-day course on self-defense and state of mind is one Hilliard Police’s most popular community programs. It focuses on prevention strategies with self-defense options that can be used as a last resort if you were attacked. Women are taught to pay attention to their surroundings, be assertive and vigilant, and follow their gut instinct to say no — even if it means appearing “rude.” Participants also learn a variety of physical moves, including kicks, elbow jabs and techniques to wiggle from an attacker’s grasp. Instructors are Hilliard police officers.

The latest sports craze that is sweeping the nation. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton, and table tennis that plays very similar to those sports. This low impact paddle based sport is the perfect sport for those individuals that previously played tennis. We will supply the courts, the nets, and the balls, you just need to bring your own paddle and water bottle. Registration is open to all skill levels currently Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
